Saturday evening outing at il Vagabondo with the family (makes us sound like we’re at least one bit Italian). Parms all around—almost, with the exception of one Manicotti (tasted like cheesecake). This place was recommended (personally, of course) by Emeril on Best Thing I Ever Ate (who doesn’t love that show??). Specifically, it was the Veal Parmigiana that he raved about; and I have to admit, it was pretty darn good. It was a wonderful dinner before my parents and brother headed off to the Summertime Classics concert at Lincoln Center.

Catching myself reblogging almost every one of Gaga’s posts. I don’t see a problem with it though, do you?
Friday evening dinner at Bareburger with Dan. I ordered the Maui Wowie burger (partially because of the name, otherwise definitely because it had pineapple on it) with bison and he ordered the Western Bacon Bareburger with lamb. Dan declared it one of the best things he’s ever eaten. I would have to agree this place is pretty awesome, because not only was the food absolutely amazing, but we got to eat outside, set in on a quaint patio on Laguardia Place. To top it off, Dan went with the Sierra Nevada while I chose a Six Point Ale. The bill wasn’t too bad, except for the fact we stayed for a little longer than our meal, which meant another round of drinks was necessary. I’ll be back soon for sure.
